Make sense of your inner world so you can show up fully with yourself and in your relationships

Trauma, Depression & Couples therapy in Sawtelle, West Los Angeles

You feel lost in life. Maybe in your career, your relationship, or even within yourself.

If you’re here, you probably feel lost.  Maybe you’ve experienced a big shift in your life such as moving to a new city, a change career or becoming a parent. Alternatively, you may be going through relationship problems, a breakup, divorce or the death of a loved one.

You don’t know how to explain it, but life just feels a bit “grey”. You constantly  feel tired no matter how much sleep you get, unmotivated no matter how hard you try, and unproductive no matter how much you do. You want to do more, both for yourself and for your relationships, but can’t seem to follow through — and then judge yourself for it. It often leaves you feeling lazy, inadequate, or like you're falling behind in life.

  • Avoiding conflict, withdrawing or struggling to express your needs in a relationship, even when it really matters. This leads to losing trust in yourself over time.

  •  Pain, trauma or other adverse experiences from the past and you're beginning to notice how they might still be shaping how you feel, relate, and cope today.

  • Scrutinizing and blaming yourself for the feelings that come up  because they “don’t make sense” or are “not logical” which  just makes you feel more stuck and inadequate.

  • Rehashing the same argument over and over again in your relationship or marriage, feeling like it never goes anywhere and only growing more distant each time.

  • Feeling like you’re not successful or where you should be in one or many big areas of life such as your career, relationships or even your physical health.

You may be struggling with:

Hi, I’m Simeon, welcome to my practice.

I believe the challenges that bring you here are more than just a collection of symptoms to treat.

The challenges that lead you to seek therapy do not exist in a vacuum. Instead, they often reflect how you’ve come to understand yourself, relate to others, and respond to what life has asked of you — sometimes without even realizing it. I believe therapy should honor the full complexity of who you are: not only your thoughts, emotions and beliefs, but also your history, cultural background, beliefs and the meaning you make of your experience.

My approach is warm and collaborative, grounded in deep, meaningful work that goes beyond symptom management to support lasting change in how you experience yourself, your relationships, and your life.

TRAUMA

Trauma can shape how we see ourselves and the world, often tinting our perspective with fear, self-doubt and shame. But when met with compassion and the right tools, healing becomes possible- and those same experiences can become wellsprings of profound growth and wisdom. Let’s begin the journey together.

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION REPROCESSING (EMDR)

EMDR is quickly becoming the “gold standard” for treatment of trauma. It has also been proven to help with a variety of other diagnoses. Research suggests that EMDR can help you beyond traditional talk therapy to create deeper, faster change that you can feel.
